The handyman can
The handyman finally came. And he rocked.
He helped me hang all my heavy art, mirrors, stained glass, etc.
He drilled the coat rack into the brick wall so it won't fall down (EVER)
He put up my curtains
He added a front door latch to make me feel safer
He hooked up my TV, DVD and speakers
He took away my garbage
He converted the plugs on my U.S. cords to Australian plugs
He told me what kind of step down converter that will allow 110 volt appliances from the U.S. to work with Australia's 240 volt system
He fixed my gate
He pruned my garden
He told me never to buy anything from local hardware stores - go to Bunnings
He took my order for a new towel rack in my bathroom along with a stand-up fan with remote
He measured my window for a custom screen and ordered it for me on the spot
He fixed the rollers on the sliding door to my closet
He brought me some zip ties
He taught me how to fix the front door so that it doesn't automatically lock behind me
He taught me how to work the grill, and the stove, and the oven
He said he'd come back to paint the walls and mulch the garden on Friday.
And did I say he installed my DISHWASHER? WOO HOO.
And he did it in 4 hours. And he owns a Power Drill. I think I need one of those.
Here's some updates since the handyman came. More after Friday. Thanks, Scott at Little Odd Jobs!
