My first visitor!

My friend, Jenn, is coming to visit from L.A. I met Jenn back when we worked together in Boston. She introduced me to Heather. And I introduced them to Melissa (or "Kitty" as we called her at the time). I have this Jenn story. You kinda have to know Jenn to get the story, but I'll tell it anyway.

Jenn has this thing about her teeth. She has this thing about hugging too, but we'll leave that for another time (it's a work in progress). Anyway, we were working together at Commonwealth Promotion on Newbury Street and someone came into the office. I'm not sure for what, but no matter.

To give you a picture of Jen, she is Ms. Confidence. She always has everything under control. I mean everything. Even your shit. She is very poised (I mean, you might not be able to tell by these photos, but trust me). She has a penchant for acting like she owns a place. Even when she's the receptionist (Betty, if you're reading, you'll vouch for me on this one).

Anywho, Jenn was instructing the person, in her most professional voice, in this and that. That and this. She was enunciating clearly and using her big words. It was business time. I was standing there, listening. Nodding. The conversation didn't last long, but long enough. When the woman left, I smiled.

"Wha?" she said (in the way she does without the "T"...must be a Bostonian thing.)

"Oh, nothing," I giggled.

"Wha?" she said with increasing panic.

"You might want to check your teeth."

"No!"

She pulled out a mirror in her desk. I saw the horror come over her as she saw the black bean on her front tooth. A large one. Covering it.

"WHY DIDN'T YOU TELL ME I HAD A BLACK BEAN ON MY TOOTH!???!!"

I can just hear it now.

"YOU BITCH."
